Chapter Summaries

Chapter 0: Prologue

The Story is set up and we learn how the knights end up in Modern day U.S.A. First Lucifer is narrating to himself (and the audience) about the Prophecy and how things are like in Gaulland. We meet Lucifer and the Baron as well as Columbo at a Cleansing Ceremony for Antoine and Sebastien. At first, the Baron just seems to be helping with the ceremony. However, things take a nasty turn as he completes a Tempus Spell to send them to their demise. However, as the two knights fall through the Halls of Time, they are snatched up and pulled through another gate. This is bad news for Baron Peregrine.

Chapter 1: Knight Skies

(I appraise my clever titles). This chapter starts out when the two boys land outside of Mount Carmel Boarding School. Sebastien is on top of things and immediatly suggests a plan of action. Antoine is just too fascinated by the new surroundings to care. He enters the schoolyard upon seeing two attractive students. He goes to greet them in french attempting to sound "cool". (It fails). Sebastien drags Antoine away and they go into the building.
Several minutes later, Lucifer and the Baron arrive at the same point where Antoine and Sebastien landed. We learn that they indeed plan to kill them!
Meanwhile, Seb and Twon are lost in a dormitory. They literally run into two girls, Cecilia and Brianna. The encounter is brief and cut short as the two girls run off to a meeting. Sebastien not wanting to be seen by anyone else, shoves Antoine into the nearest open door when he hears footsteps. We join Cecilia and Brianna coming in late for the meeting. Brianna and Cecilia whisper about the guys. Afterwards, they find Antoine and Sebastien in their dorm. Cecilia is furious and goes to call security, but Seb stops her from getting too far and wants to explain themselves.

Chapter 2: Knight School
(Yet another brilliant title).
This chapter we start out with the Baron and his elf conversing on the school grounds at night. Peregrine explains what went wrong and what Lucifer should do. The elf is eager to help terminate the boys before they find the "Tempus Milites". Lucifer is diguised as a student and ready to hunt.
Back inside, Sebastien finishes his story to Brianna and Cecilia. Brianna wants to help them, but Cecilia is dubious. To offer some sort of proof, the boys summon their familiars to get their armour. (in the worst comic page ever colored!). Bree offers to hide them until they can figure out how to get back.
The next day, the two knights join the girls in their classes. Blending in seemed to be the best way to hide...until they discover that Lucifer had the same idea. Later that day, there is a huge storm which Sebastien explains will alert any local "Tempus Milites" about a disruption in the Hall of Time. They also discover, that they don't know how to recognize a Tempus. However, their biggest problem right now is Lucifer the assassin.
Later that week, they are still alive and well. Lucifer does not seem to be making any move against them for some reason. By then, the girls are fairly distracted by their duties for the Spring Formal Dance to care. The chapter ends with the four of them preparing for the event.

Chapter 3: Courting with Disaster
Okay so they make it to the dance in one piece. Any thoughts about Lucifer have been nearly forgotten. Which was not a wise move. The elf and the Baron use this hormone ridden event to execute their plans. The Baron prepares a Time Gate for what looks like a quick escape route after Lucifer desposes of the knights. However, Cecilia is on top of things and ultimatly saves Sebastien and Brianna. Peregrine decides to abandon Lucifer in the past and escape on his own. This betrayal confuses and enfuriates Lucifer so much that his inner demons solidify and begin to attack.
Antoine and Sebastien call upon their familiars to hold off the Demons. Once again Cecilia notices something and entices the demons to chase her and Brianna, the knights follow after them. She leads the monsters into a church and tries to find Father Andrew, their teacher. Before they do, Twon and Seb catch up and are attacked by the crouching demons.
At the a critical moment, the demon's weapons vanish and Fr. Andy exorcises the demons and freeing the elf from their slavery.

Chapter 4: Knight Time
(Another witty title)
Things seem to come together in this chapter. We learn more about the Prophecy and that Fr. Andy is a "Tempus Milites". Lucifer wakes up again and seems like a different person. (Cecilia really digs him.) He goes on to explain how the Knights will be the ones to fulfill the prophecy and bring peace and unity and all that good jazz.
Now it's time to say good-bye to Antoine and Sebastien and Lucifer. Brianna is extremely upset about this. The knights leave the girls with a token before leaving. Their Elf-stone rings and therefore their familiars. The dudes leave and Cecilia seems pretty pleased. Now life can be normal again.
Chapter 5: Cold Iron
(A not so fun title)
We rejoin Cecilia and Brianna a year later. They are touring castles in France for the summer. (darn those rich kids). BUT, their tour takes an unexpected turn when the Baron Peregrine uses the rings to suck them into another time period. They are immediatly captured by Peregrine's new lackey, Columbo. Then they take a lovely trek across the country side to Ferrium's lair.
Peregrine strikes a bargain with the mechanical dragon. Ferrium gets to use Cecilia and Brianna as fuel in exchange for destroying Pravignon. Kingdom destroying is Ferrium's speciality. He agrees, but demands Baron leave.
Luckily for the girls, an elf boy is watching nearby and rescues them. He then takes them to Sereenis'la to meet his Father, who is High Elf. We discover that Lucifer is the High Elf and he in turn tells the girls a bit about what's up in Gaulland and updates them on the status of their knights. Afterwards they get their quest to deliver to Antoine and Sebastien.
Chapter 6: Clam
(I don't know what I was thinking with this title)
Ceese and Bree go with Glaraphim, Lucifer's son, on their journey. While on their way they are attacked by Peregrine's Hawk. The girls successfully drive it away by summoning the familiars of their knights. The hawk escapes, which is not good. Now the Baron will know that the girls are alive. What will the dragon do? What will the Baron do?
Glaraphim leaves them now that the familiars can help. About two towns later, they find their knights at an inn. Bree and Seb have a lovely reunion. Cecilia all but has a coniption when she runs into Antoine again and finds him flirting with loose women. (That naughty boy!) She gets rid of his ring and goes outside to cry. Does this mean she had feelings for him??
She is not alone. Eavesdropping on her in the stables is a Fire Elf, Aidern. He strikes Cecilia as a tricky fellow, but dangit why are elves so hot? Aidern explains how he's taking her with him, whether she likes it or not. Cecilia opts to go the easy way and go with him without a fuss. She wanted to get away from Antoine anyway. As they drive off, a mysterious dark woman watches them.

Chapter 7: Lady of Valon
(Whatever happened to my clever title skills?)

At the Inn, Seb and Twon have another surprise visit. The stranger tells them she wishes to give them a quest before revealing herself as Nali, Lady of Valon...an elf of Water. She tells them of Cecilia's capture and tells them about the elven weapons crafted to destroy Ferrium. The next day, the twins split up. Nali goes with Antoine while Brianna and Sebastien head for Venti pass to retrieve the Wyn Bow. Antoine and Nali find the Blade of Tyr rather easily. Sebastien and Brianna also receive the Wyn Bow from an Elf of Wind. It was relatively easy as well, so they go to Pravignon, where Seb and Twon live. At the homestead, we meet the parents of Seb and Twon. We learn more about the signs of the "Prophecied Pair". And Columbo tries to poison Sebastien, his former pupil. The king, Leon, suggests that they all leave to the Forest Fotress, like the elf advised. The chapter ends with Brianna and Sebastien parting on bad terms.

Chapter 8: Wildfire
(I've given up on my wit.)

The chapter begins with Antoine and Nali entering the lands of Ignac. It's volcanic, rocky and pretty desolate. Nali takes Antoine to a secret entrance into Vohr, the Volcanic City. (Of course, you don't really see much of the city). Upon entering the heart of the mountain, they find Cecilia who had been captured way back in Chapter 6. So begins the slipshod rescue. Nali makes herself into a diversion for the two fire elf guards around Cecilia's "cage". Renard advises Twon to rescue Cecilia while the coast is clear. But it was not as clear as either of them thought. Lurking in the shadows is none other than Aidern, Lord of Flames. Antoine challenges him on the spot and the two males go at it. Their duel is cut short by a water spell. Aidern is furious at this newcomer's interference. The two elves now have their own private battle, while Antoine breaks Cecilia out of her prison. He breaks his own sword in the process. (Insert sympathy). Hearing all of Twon's racket, Aidern turns to attack the boy. Once again Nali intervenes and begs her lover? Oh ho! So the plot thickens. Meanwhile, Antoine does bust Cecilia and "revive" her. Immediately the two of them start quarrelling and the impending trip dooms to be hell. :P

Chapter 9: Return
(It sounds artsy...I guess. I miss my old Punny titles).

Antoine and Cecilia travel back towards Pravignon. They have a bit of an arguement on the way. Cecilia runs off to a nearby village which has recently been evacuated. Twon, grumpily, goes after her and finds her in a chapel. (Lots of things happen in churches in this story). He feels kind of bad because she's crying and all. However, Father Andrew makes his return and tells them what's been going on in the Halls of Time. Now, Brianna, Cecilia and he are stuck in this particular time period. Ceese is not too thrilled, but no time to waste, off they go again to Pravignon!
Antoine and Cecilia return to Pravignon to find that the castle has already been sacked by Ignac and the Baron. So they find the rest of the gang, finally, in the hidden forest fortress. Lucifer and Leon have joined forces to protect the human kingdom. Cecilia conveniently hands over battle sketches from Aidern and mopes about not having an elf boyfriend. (I'd cry too). Antione and Sebastien suit up and prepare for battle. Ceese suits up too, despite Antoine's opposition. Then Seb and Bree make up and make out.

Chapter 10: Prophecy
(Again...a humdrum title)

The battle is beginning. The Baron and a small division of the Ignac-Telras army shows up at Pravignon's doorstep with a giant metal dragon. The twins prepare themselves for the worst, but they did not really expect the worst. Cecilia, possibly going along with Aidern's plans, offers the secret fuel offered to her. She gets swallowed by Ferrium and then all hell breaks loose. Antoine loses his senses completely and goes beserk.

While all this skirmishing was taking place, Brianna is captured as bait inside the chapel in the manor. Sebastien rushes in to her rescue only to fall into a trap. Brianna shows her true colors and frees herself and saves Sebastien instead. (yay. Girl powah!)

Outside, Aidern challenges Pravignon's crown prince and Luxior's High Elf. When he finally gets the upper hand, Ferrium cuts in? The dragon demands a truce, which the Fire Elf General, Cinead knows is uncharacteristic. Cinead hurls his lance, nailing Antoine. This upsets the dragon for some reason and he unleashes a full blast right into Cinead and a few of the fire elf troops.

Brianna announces with Sebastien that the Baron has surrendered and that ends the battle, while Aidern appears to mourn his father.

Chapter 11: Shining Knights
(Hey it's just like the title of the whole story!)

At the battle's end, the Baron is brought forth to receive swift judgement and punishment. Before King Leon can deliver a mighty blow and end the Baron's life, Father Andrew returns and pleads for mercy. Orn'd, one of the Earth Elf commanders, barters for custody of the Baron. Leon is naturally reluctant to the suggestions, especially when Aidern attempts to encourage the idea. Aidern struggles to explain himself and their actions. Most of which is tossed aside as complete rubbish. Lucifer is especially opposed to him.

Aidern then goes into detail about Ferrium's construction as a piloted machine. He explains that during the construction that someone had put in a faulty core-elf stone (energy source) which made Ferrium remain in autopilot. Thus it could be bartered with for fuel since it can not fuel itself. Aidern also attempts to share his plot of replacing the core stone and setting Cecilia as the pilot so that he could reunite with his family.

Brianna is not amused, especially when Ferrium suddenly takes off. Aidern quickly rattles off the dragon's weakpoints and plans to destroy it. Aidern is kept as prisoner in token for the entire Ignian (fire elf) nation. Brianna and the twin princes ride off to destroy the dragon and save Cecilia. Even though, Antoine is injured. Sebastien manages to ground the machine and Antoine aims for the heart, which was one point he was not suppose to aim for. Antoine is mortally wounded. Sebastien, over-come by grief, goes to his brother's body, Ferrium looms over them ready to devour both of them. Brianna comes in with a save, hitting Ferrium in the eye with an arrow.

Cecilia ends up stopping the dragon by using the sword that Antoine threw into the heart...where she was located inside the dragon.
