Well, the following cartoon deserves quite an explanation. So, allow me to begin. Back in August or September or so, I hosted MSK's first contest. The goal of the contest was to write a script to a short cartoon featuring my characters. I only got 3 entries. It was really hard to pick which script to do. My decision to do this one, by azalea, was based on the fact of its brevity and use of character relationships and yeah...dress up is fun! If you are not a continual reader of 'My Shining Knight' and 'Kurenai Mashin', many things may just not make any sense. There are many inside Forum jokes embedded in this cartoon. I will try to explain some of the subtlties. The guy with purple hair first off, is not really my character. Dai-dai is a Forum joke of mine. In the K-M forums, I stole the characters and made mini-clones for myself. Dai-dai is Daitsu's clone and thus he has inherited the ability to turn things to ice. Cecilia has an obsession with elves...if that's not obvious. Thus her reaction to Dai-dai's appearance. It is common theory that none of the MSK guys get along at all. (I swear that's not entirely true!) It's also common belief that Cecilia and Aidern are a couple. (But I can now safely say that that's not canon). Other than that, the cartoon is pretty self explanatory...except for my funny credits. Whiskers is my kitten-cat and he sits on my bed sometimes. He's allergic to me or has sinus problems and therefore snots wherever he goes. It's really gross. But I was in a weird mood and thought I'd add it in here. Some other highlights I like to point out, this is my first attempt at lip-sync, camera moves, and other complex manipulation. It was really a stretch of my art skills too. The next MSK Flash will be a music video. I expect to finish it sometime before Spring Break...if I'm lucky. In any case, enjoy! |
